I guess we might as well have voted for John McCain, because the democrats have no backbone. Barack Obama has now cowered under mounting pressure to save his own political career and dump single payer. The after effect of a no-reform health care bill will see a day of reckoning for the DNC. Come 2010 people will have felt betrayed by democratic weakness and bickering and the RNC will be back to running the show. Seniors should know that when the RNC take over, there will be cuts to All social programs including Medicare and Social Security. Obama will get praise for the quasi health coverage, but voters will remember congress and how the democrats lost the mandate they were given in 2008. Bush and other Republicans never wavered on anything. Bush and Cheney were greatly unpopular, but were men of their words when it came to their agendas. It's too soon to tell in this Twitter age weather Obama will be re-elected, but he has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many of his supporters by having his office being run by the GOP. He was supposed to be the like Clinton, but push a little harder. How in the world is the White House allowing people like what's her name(her name shall never be mentioned on this blog) to spread such crazy lies to Americans? How can she go to bed knowing the many of her supporters are White Supremacist and Xenophobes. Let this be a lesson to everyone who still believes in compassion and not the corporate Jesus, freedom is never easy and most of the time its an uphill battle. Corporations run everything-even your health care. What Americans who are against the plan don't realize, Insurance companies are losing members by the minute and they will most certainly raise premiums to cover the loss. This will insure that executives retire with millions in bonuses before they go bankrupt. These companies cannot survive without employee paid premiums. Hospitals will continue to close and employers will dump expensive coverage all together. Once one big corporation does it, trust that they will all follow suit. Employee coverage is very nice when you have it, but is not an entitlement in the least. The bottom line regarding private-option insurance, is who is most important is the stake holder and not you, or your health. This is why they don't ensure the chronically ill and people with pre-existing conditions. They would be bankrupt by next Wednesday. I guess Americans will start to blame the sick next. The truth is hard to stomach but the truth is nothing but the truth. Only in America

Today Was A Good Day

I tell you, it is so nice to see some good news every now and then to come out of the beltway. With all the foolishness with Health Care Reform and the silly protestors,this is more than welcomed news. Pres. Obama gave away the 2009 Presidential Medal of Freedom. I was touched to see him and Sidney Poitier embrace. I know this must have been a wondrous moment for Mr Poitier to recieve such an award from America's first black President. Mr. Portier has seen just how "America"can be very good and also very scary.

Is California Too Big?

California may be buckling under it's own weight. We have a legislature that draws it members from polarizing counties. We have become too big for ourselves. The Federal assistance we get is not enough for a state our size. Our prison population is swelling while Colleges and Universities are shrinking its budget and enrollment. No one wants to pay taxes in our state but we demand the same services. Grey Davis tried to stem the bleeding with a tax increase but we instead voted him out. I think when those people so against taxes start to feel the full force of this recession, then and only then will increases be approved.
I serious think we as a nation should think about restructuring and dividing states into more manageable sections. I truly believe California should be divided into three. It just makes sense. We enacted all these ridiculous propositions that have basically left the legislature with their hands tied. They can no longer govern. The truth is Republicans would rather see all of California fall into the Pacific Ocean than raise a single tax. Democrats in our state have to face the fact that many of these public services are good but voters blindly don't want to pay for it. Unfortunately, California won't learn until the Governator slashes everything in site. You can't blame him. The people voted down tax hikes and would rather suffer through the second Great Depression without any type of public service. California is too big and the nation needs to look at it. By the way, where is Obama ?

Barry Where Are You

Dear Barry,
Where are you? I have not heard from you in a while. I just wanted to know if you were still my friend. Since I voted for you, other gay folks like me are wondering if you gonna come visit us. We are still waiting on those thing you promised. And what are you doing changing your mind all the time. There you go filp flopping all over the place. Barry I'm a patient man but not sure how long I can wait. I never really like those folks you hang around. They are not good people but I thought you might be different. They say birds of a feather flock together. Please say this is not true. Barry things aint changing for the better. Nader called me yesterday. He had some cool things to say. Stop laughing Barry. He's not a crazy old man. He has some good points. Hmm the Green party... Oh well, I'm giving you some more time but not much. Okay Barry gotto go but tell Michelle and the girls Hi. I still love you but you better make up your mind and start delivering on those promises.
